One of the most difficult aspects of purchasing a pickup truck is deciding which model is right for you. There are a lot of vehicles in this segment, and most drivers are shopping for one with a powerful engine, off-road capability, and high-end safety features. Here at our RAM dealership serving Suffolk, VA, our dealers would like to help you make your truck-buying decision by comparing the 2019 RAM 1500 with the 2019 Ford F-150.

Interior Features

Even on its base trim levels, the 2019 RAM 1500 is packed to the brim with standard features, including a five-inch touchscreen, three USB ports, and a push-button start. Available features include the Uconnect® infotainment system, a Harman Kardon sound system, wireless device charging, and a vertical 12-inch tablet-like display. On the other hand, the standard features in the Ford truck include a 4.2-inch screen in the center stack and an auxiliary jack. The largest screen size the 2019 Ford F-150 offers is eight inches.

Under the hood, the standard engine in the 2019 RAM 1500 is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 good for 305 horsepower, with an available V8 HEMI® that cranks out 395 horsepower. The standard V6 engine in the Ford truck pushes out only 290 horsepower. You also won't find eTorque mild-hybrid technology in the Ford F-150, which is incorporated with each engine in the RAM 1500.

Interior Quality

The 2019 RAM 1500 is a pickup truck that exudes luxury, thanks to the abundance of high-quality materials found inside the spacious cabin. The truck includes real wood on its dashboard and more real leather than any other pickup truck on the market. The cabin is quiet, even with the massive HEMI® engine roaring only a few feet away. The Ford F-150 includes some luxuries, but they are only found in higher trim levels.
